Liam is a trial and appellate lawyer with a grounded, strategic approach to resolving disputes and has appeared for clients in courts in British Columbia as well as the Federal Court. In addition, Liam appeared at the Supreme Court of Canada on the leading case of governmental immunity for acts of negligence. As a member of LK Law’s General Litigation Group, he represents clients across a broad range of business, shareholder, employment, and contractual disputes.
Known for his focus and preparedness, Liam combines strong courtroom experience with a practical understanding of the challenges clients face. He brings clarity to complex legal issues and tailors his strategy to meet both the immediate and long-term goals of those he represents.
Liam earned his J.D. from the University of Victoria, where he received the course prize in Contracts and the “Best Lawyering Award” for his advocacy in the school’s legal clinic. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, graduating with distinction and concentrations in Human Resource Management and Finance.

- Counsel in Benias v Lee, 2021 BCSC 2312, where he successfully defended an action to sell a jointly owned property by establishing as a matter of law that the relief sought is not available when the property is rented to residential tenants, through the application of 19th-century English law doctrines.
