Dennis is Associate Counsel at Lindsay Kenney LLP with more than three decades of experience advising commercial clients on transactional matters and strategic litigation. He helps businesses navigate complex commercial disputes with a focus on insolvency, debt restructuring, and creditor rights. Dennis represents banks, secured lenders, trustees, receivers, franchisors, landlords, and other commercial entities in enforcing their rights, often against insolvent debtors. He also acts for debtors in restructuring transactions, balancing legal strategy with practical business considerations to preserve value and support continued operations.
Over his career, Dennis has established long-standing relationships with special loans groups at major banks and with trustees in bankruptcy. He has acted in Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act restructurings since the early 1980s, including notable proceedings for Daon Development Corp., Interac Forest Products, Pacific Shores, League Assets Corp., Mednow Inc., Minto Metals, The Falls and Sandhills Golf Courses, Baldy Ski Resort, and Yukon Zinc. He also acts as independent counsel for receivers and trustees in complex insolvency matters.
In addition to his insolvency practice, Dennis advises clients on a range of commercial issues, including purchase and sale transactions and lease disputes. He also serves as registered office for a variety of companies, from start-ups to established enterprises, providing ongoing legal and strategic guidance.
