Catherine Collver

Catherine practises family law and estate litigation at Lindsay Kenney LLP’s Vancouver office. She represents clients at all levels of court in British Columbia and is known for her balanced, strategic approach to resolving disputes. While an experienced litigator, she understands that court is not always the best forum and works to achieve resolutions through mediation, negotiation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

In her family law practice, Catherine drafts prenuptial, marriage, and separation agreements that help clients achieve fair, practical outcomes while minimizing conflict and cost. She has guided clients through complex property division cases involving corporations, trusts, and foreign assets, and has particular experience in spousal support matters. Catherine helps clients reach creative solutions they feel at peace with, and that allow them to move forward with stability and confidence.

Catherine’s estates practice includes representing clients in disputes over executors, will validity, capacity and undue influence, spousal status in intestate estates, and committeeship applications. She promotes cooperative resolutions wherever possible but is an assertive advocate when litigation is necessary to protect her clients’ interests.

Before entering law, Catherine worked in the not-for-profit sector, supporting organizations such as the University of Victoria, the Nanaimo Hospital Foundation, and the Parkinson’s Disease Association. She continues to contribute her time as a volunteer with Access Pro Bono, Rise Women’s Legal Centre, Literacy Victoria, and the Community Living Society.
