Planning for Summer Vacation

If you are planning to go away this summer, it is a good idea to have your paperwork in order before you go.   If you have young children, you should ensure you have appointed a guardian and have trust provisions in placew in your will.  A Power of Attorney is also a good idea to ensure someone can make sure any emergencies can be dealt with; however, if all the copies are in your safety deposit box, is it accessible if it is needed?   It’s also a good timen to ensure you have listed all online accounts and their passwords are up to date (kept in a secure location). You should also check the terms of your property insurance to make sure the property is not vacant for too long.

A proper estate plan takes some time to assemble and execute, so this is a good time to get started.
