Michael is Associate Counsel in Lindsay Kenney LLP’s Family Law Group, based in the firm’s Vancouver office. With more than a decade of experience, he advises clients on all aspects of family law and child welfare, including high-conflict parenting, international child abduction and relocation, support, and property matters. Widely regarded as a leader in this field, Michael is known for his strategic, creative approach and his ability to navigate complex situations with clarity and precision.
With advanced training in managing high-conflict family dynamics, Michael offers innovative interventions to help clients find constructive resolutions both in and out of court. He also represents children and youth as a children’s lawyer in a range of family law proceedings, ensuring their voices are heard and their interests protected.
In addition to his litigation work, Michael has played a central role in shaping provincial and federal family and child welfare legislation. His deep understanding of the systems, laws, and policies that impact families—combined with his years of experience working directly with adults and children—provides a unique perspective on the legal and human elements of every case. Michael regularly appears before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia, as well as before administrative tribunals.
