As a senior litigator and Partner in LK Law’s Vancouver office, Tim brings more than three decades of trial and appellate experience to his commercial, employment, and business litigation practice. He has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia and the Supreme Court of Canada, representing clients in complex, high-stakes disputes with clarity and strategic precision.
In his commercial litigation practice, Tim represents clients in shareholder and investor disputes, contract claims, fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty. He also acts in real estate litigation and defamation matters, applying seasoned judgment and a practical understanding of business dynamics.
Tim’s employment law practice includes advising both employers and employees on wrongful dismissal, breach of privacy, loss of pension or other benefits, and workplace policies related to illness, disability, and human rights compliance. In addition to his practice, Tim contributes to the profession through writing and speaking on employment law topics, including presentations at the CLE Annual Employment Law Conference.
A respected leader in the legal community, Tim is a former President of the Vancouver Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association Law Reform Committee, and the national Law Week Committee. He served six years on the CBA Provincial Council and is currently a Bencher of the Law Society of British Columbia. In recognition of his excellence in litigation, Tim was named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America in 2022, an honour awarded to less than one-half of one percent of the Bar.
